We all want to eat healthy but still enjoy what we're eating. Figuring out what exactly that is can be overwhelming and upsetting because of all the conflicting information the media has given us. I've studied many articles over a period of time in order to put together this great website with the information needed to start living the ketogenic lifestyle. I've taken what I learned by trial and error and put together some great recipes that are mouth-watering and right down delicious.

As many of you know the overall health crisis is at an all-time high and continuing to climb higher each year. The FDA is approving many processed and chemical based foods that are destroying our health which in turn is making pharmaceutical companies rich. It's up to us to want to feed our selves and our family a lot healthier. In order to do this we must educate ourselves in what proper eating really is about and know what the ingredients are that's being added to the foods that we buy daily.

Heart disease, type 2 diabetes and mental health is at an all-time high, not to mention autoimmune disease's, which can be linked to improper eating. We most now care enough about our selves and our families to make a big change in our eating habits that will bring us good health in all aspects of life.

Many cases have been proven that people with cancers, type 2 diabetes, and other autoimmune diseases have been slowed down by eating the right Foods.

There is many foods today that are so high in carbs such as processed foods or foods that have a lot of chemicals in them. It is estimated that the average person eats between 225 and 325 carbs a day. The average person also consumes 17 teaspoons of sugar a day. It's no wonder that obesity is a big problem in America today. So what can we do to change all that?

I have read many stories about families who live the keto lifestyle by eating a low-carb, high-fat and moderate protein diet. People who are type 2 diabetic or who have high blood pressure and high cholesterol have been known to come off medications of course with the approval of their Doctor. Also people with seizures have been known to stop having them. Your energy becomes higher, the sluggish feeling goes away. Bloating stomach is a thing of the past and your overall mental status changes. The greatest part is if you're obese your body starts using fat to burn because you no longer have all that sugar you put in your body before. When your body is burning sugar you are hungry every 2 to 3 hours. Another great thing about this lifestyle is you stay fuller when you eat this way and eventually you begin to eat less.

Basically what you need to keep in mind is that you want to eat foods that are very low in carbs and high in fats, with moderate protein. Substitute sweets you make with keto friendly sugars.

How to eat Keto

A low-carb high fat diet isn't hard to cook at all in fact it's very easy. Prepackaged foods is a no-no with this change for your new lifestyle. Sugars and starches are no longer your friend. They are very bad for you causing all kinds of problems with your health and mindset.

Having a well stocked kitchen is the key to the ketogenic lifestyle. Throw those temping processed foods away and stock your fridge with whole foods, such as lots of green veggies, and grass fed meats. Add a good butter, cheese and olive oil to use for cooking. Stock up on eggs and bacon as they are your best friend. Purchase some good spices but remember fresh is better to cook with. Buy a gluten free flour such as coconut or almond flour. Also purchase sugar substitute for baking such as Swerve, Stevia, Erythritol,  or Monk Fruit. Also get yourself a thickener as some  recipes call for it, so buy one of these, Xanthan gum, Arrowroot or Glucomannan. Add some keto friendly fruits and there you have enough to cook with for any day of the week that will be wholesome and healthy.
